This test is carried out at the Platinum Ambulance Service Limited Covid-19 mobile testing centre, located at The All England Jumping Course, Hickstead, West Sussex, BN6 9HR.

A swab is taken from the back of the nasopharyngeal (nose) by one of our operatives, to be then placed in to our laboratory equipment based onsite. A result will be produced within 15 minutes and an official certificate will be provided showing the results.

The test we are using is the  Covid-19 Rapid Nasal Swab Antigen Test, a quick, reliable, and cost-effective way of detecting active COVID-19 infections.

This is a new form of testing for Covid-19. Rapid antigen testing represents a major advancement in helping to bring the pandemic under control. Antigen tests look for pieces of proteins that make up the SARS-CoV-2 virus, helping to determine if the person has an active Covid-19 infection. The test will detect active Covid-19 infections in both asymptomatic and symptomatic patients. Test results are delivered on-site in 15 mins. No need to send samples away for analysis. Unlike other antigen tests, our test looks for nucleocapsid protein making it the gold standard for rapid antigen testing. Highly accurate with >99.9% Specificity, 97.3% Sensitivity & 99% Accuracy.

Results are valid at the time of test only.

Platinum Ambulance Service Limited, it’s Directors or any company that we are working on behalf of, cannot be held responsible for any decisions that are made as a result of this test.

All decisions for treatment, isolation or changes in lifestyle should be made in consultation with government advice and the 111 health service.
